“What a school thinks about its library is a measure of what it feels about education.” ― Harold Howe
A Little Bit About Me....
I have been a professional educator for over twenty years. My experiences include teaching in a private, Christian school as well as several years in a small town high school. I have a BA in English Education, a Masters in Early Childhood Education and a Specialists in Teacher Leadership. I also have a library/media add-on. I have been at Youth Elementary School in Walton County since 2003 where I currently teach first grade.
A Little Bit About My Portfolio...
This portfolio is the culmination of a dream. I have always loved books, and some of my fondest childhood memories are of those weekly trips to the local public library. My mom made sure my sister and I had access to all kinds of books. I read Gone with the Wind the summer after fifth grade. After that, I went through a mystery, a science fiction, and a fantasy phase. I wish I knew how many books I have read! While I love my students and being in the "regular" classroom, I decided to add library/media to my certificate. Who knows what opportunities await!?
